 Nothing has really changed. I'm going to play my best. This is a contract year so I'm going to give it all I've got. When I am ready to hit the field this year, wherever it may be, I plan on being better than ever and enjoying the ride.

 You can't contend for a division title without a shortstop. We got a guy who has been an All-Star, has three years left on his contract and Boston will pay about 50 percent of it. That's why we traded Andy.

 To be honest, I don't really think so. Everyone is tired this time of year. We can't make the excuse of being tired.

 Fans have to understand that's part of going from Division II to Division I. You're used to being a contender at Division II year in and year out. Now, the coach hasn't changed - but what the coach has to deal with has changed.
