 I always thought Todd (Blythe) was the guy who'd get eight or so catches a game. I thought I was the role guy, and I still think that. It just so happens the first four games things are coming my way because (the opponent) maybe is double-teaming and rolling to Todd.

 I thought early on (Brower) was a legitimate candidate with Todd here. It made it more imperative that we have him after Todd went down.

 Todd had a great practice today, ... We would not change at all. If you look back to the preseason games, we did exactly with Todd what we did with Trent. And he played well.

 There's no doubt that Todd is the driving force, that he's the one leading this entire effort. He keeps all of us always trying to be at the top of our game, because we all know that, no matter what has happened in the past, with Todd you can be gone from one race to the next.

 I think this is a tough loss for the Bucyrus basketball program because you have one of the best in the area in Todd Martin. He got kids to buy into his program. I respect Todd's decision. Todd is a class person. Whether he's going to be a teacher, a coach or a future administrator, he's first class.

 It's really wonderful to be here and see all of you. I know that Todd would love being here himself. Even though he's not here physically, he is here among us. I brought a few things I thought might remind you,

 I thought we hit him (Todd) well. We swung the bats well in the second game, but we just left too many men on base.

 I think the team will rally around Todd. This was the time to see if Todd could handle the situation.

 For Todd to finish where he did shows what a great driver he is. If Todd had started in the first seed the results probably would have been different. He probably would of had a least a silver medal and been in a fight for the gold.

 Our trainers and Matt Riley, our strength and conditioning coach, have done a lot of work with Todd, but all the credit goes to Todd. It's not easy rehabbing from one surgery, but he's done it for two and really pushed himself to do it right.

 Todd has been a part of one of the top NFL defenses over the past few years. He brings both college and NFL experience to the position. He is a great teacher and I think our defensive linemen will really develop with Todd as their coach.

 We know what Todd can do and we want to look at the guys we have here. We told Todd it is not necessary for him to come to camp.
