 It puts the consumer in control and gives the content owner the ability to create their own channel to the consumer. This is the opportunity to reach the consumer directly and not be constrained by gatekeepers, whether it's satellite or cable.

 They are setting up a separate entity to provide video services, cable television, telecommunications services, and internet services. So they will be a competitor to any cable company or any phone company in this area.

 Under the best, the very best, conditions it takes several months to negotiate an agreement. These are far from what you would call good conditions.

 Think of the cable system. You as a consumer have no control over what channels the cable operator picks. They pick certain channels based on where they have a financial interest. Time Warner favors the programming in which it has financial interest. We're concerned that the cable model will essentially be grafted onto the InterNet.

 Every family is different. All you have to do is go to a dinner or cocktail party and people are talking about what they will and won't let their kids watch, and tastes vary so much that it's really hard as a whole cable company to make a call like this.
