 She and her publisher created a book that was like nothing we have ever seen. It's beautiful.

 It's a common ploy to plant people in chat rooms who suddenly say, 'Oh, I've got to tell you about this book that changed my life,' and it's really either a publisher or author selling their latest diet book.

 This is a terrific transaction that is the right thing to do for both the Time Warner Book Group and our shareholders. With its record-breaking performance in 2005, the Book Group is at the top of its game. To build on this success, however, it needs the scale and other advantages that come from being part of a larger, more global book publisher. This transaction also underscores our commitment to a strategy of managing closely related, industry-leading businesses to maximize shareholder returns. We wish our Time Warner Book Group colleagues continued success and the best of luck at their new home.

 No publisher should ever express an opinion on the value of what he publishes. That is a matter entirely for the literary critic to decide. I can quite understand how any ordinary critic would be strongly prejudiced against a work that was accompanied by a premature and unnecessary panegyric from the publisher. A publisher is simply a useful middle-man. It is not for him to anticipate the verdict of criticism.

 God blessed me with some great, unique features-some beautiful, in my eyes, and some not so beautiful. But I think we are all created this way for a reason, so I have no desire to tamper with that.

 We receive permission from whoever holds the rights to the book, whether it is the author, publisher, or sometimes the illustrator, to make the videos and DVDs.

 Many publishers are looking for that big score right away. I'm lucky that my publisher stuck with me. Now there's a sizeable readership eagerly awaiting the release of each book.
