 I understand that college students do more than just study with their internet, but we just don't physically have enough bandwidth to provide much more than critical services.

 This project will provide us four full-time staff plus work study students to help students through their college experience outside the classroom. The program has the potential to change the face of the institution, ...  We clearly need to develop a more systematic approach to services innovation if we are to sustain this vital new sector in the economy. It is critical that we work with universities to create curricula that provide students entering the workforce with skills and training needed for growing our services business.

 The business was initially started as a way to just provide a service to college students, namely by me to other students in my dorm and we began to realize that the market for serving college students was not a very well-developed one.

 The explosive growth of the Internet and e-business requires faster deployment of high-bandwidth equipment and greater flexibility to support emerging Internet technologies and new services within the network.

 This notion of some grand battle between content owners and network owners, I think it's specious. Network owners can partition bandwidth in such a way that everyone can have access to the Internet in a way we have today and provide some value-added services. There should be plenty of room for everyone to do what they want.

 Why in the world would somebody want to eat up your bandwidth listening to radio music over the Internet on PC speakers -- when it's cheaper for the company to go and buy stereos for everybody? When you look at the cost of what these people are doing in terms of bandwidth and Internet access, it's extremely expensive.

 Wal-Mart will provide a source of low priced goods and services that students need, and it will provide jobs for students. The shopping situation we have right now is pretty meager. That may be a factor that affects students' decisions into coming to Vermillion.

 With the Internet and other services, there may be a point where we will need lots of bandwidth.

 Internet access is such a competitive industry that we were able to double our bandwidth at virtually no extra cost to the college.

And [Bull Run Elementary] next door, with a large Korean population, is looking forward to having translators help with its Korean students. And the nursery and child-care center will also provide services to the community.

 To sell successfully into the financial services marketplace, technology software or services sales teams must master three critical competencies. They must understand the links between financial services institution business drivers and trends, and specific IT investments. It is critical to then understand how their own solutions are aligned with these drivers, trends and investments, as well as how their solutions are best deployed to solve tangible business problems. Finally, sales teams must be able to engage both IT and business executives within institutions in meaningful, bottom-line oriented dialogues.
