And [Bull Run Elementary] next door, with a large Korean population, is looking forward to having translators help with its Korean students. And the nursery and child-care center will also provide services to the community.

 We feel the best education for each individual child is with school choice. It involves the parents directly in the process of their child's education and they have some governance, in that they can seek another school if they are unhappy with the present school. And historically, our kids do well at whatever school they attend.

 Basically, if a child is aware that someone has drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or weapons that would make them feel unsafe in the school, they can go to an anonymous source and if they provide us with important information, then we'll provide a reward for the child.

 If a child lives less than two miles, the parent has the responsibility to get that child to school. A school bus is just something people consider an easy solution.

 Tooth decay is a silent epidemic for children ages 0-5. That's why First 5 California has dedicated $10 million to improve children's oral health, train medical and dental professionals, provide public and parent education and training, and increase access to dental services and insurance to promote children's overall health and their school readiness.
