 I feel pretty good about (the retirement) because frankly there are not too many guys in my business who can do it. I feel grateful the university has been so good to me and my family. I have a chancellor that has been very supportive of me, and his cooperation on what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it. I think that is very unique to have a situation like that.

 I feel like we got what we wanted out of this. We're starting to see some real strengths and some real positives. The big thing we wanted was to see the guys block and tackle, and they did a pretty good job.

Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness.

 It feels good to be wanted, ... For me to be in the situation I am right now, and be able to feel like I'm still respected and still wanted, things had to happen the way they did last year.

 I feel great, ... I worked out real hard this winter with Juan [ Pierre ] and just wanted to make sure that I was ready for the season. It was killing me, though.  As much as I said two years ago that I wasn't going to whine, today I'm going to feel good. I'm not gloating. I just feel good for our team, our program and our university. Two years in a row, five times in seven years. That is something we all should feel pretty fortunate about.

 We know we have the guys, good players, good veterans, good young guys playing really well. We're pretty confident with what we have. In the playoffs, you never know. We go in and feel decent, feel better about our game, anything can happen. That's what I believe. You never know.

 My family was pretty supportive but they needed to know that this was something that we had thought about and that we understood all the risks. They wanted to see that we had outlined our goals and formulated a business plan.

 Major-wise, it's pretty comparable, ... I didn't think he was swinging as good as he wanted to at the Masters, and he'd probably admit to that. U.S. Open, he really played pretty solid. British Open, obviously that venue he loves. He's awfully good. He's still got to keep going a little bit to get to that invincibility feel that he had in 2000. But he's putting a pretty good spin on it right now.
