 Traders are just lightening their positions a little bit. The holidays are compressing the activity and I think most of the (options) rolling over you saw yesterday.

 It appears the battle will start tomorrow and investors are understandably taking a nervous stance. Investors are lightening up on long positions just as they did yesterday afternoon.

 Clearly world events are dictating the pace and the activity here. As we've seen in many of the afternoons over the past couple of weeks, individuals and traders just don't seem to be willing to hold positions overnight based on what's going on around the world.

 With the US new home sales proving to be a positive surprise, traders who are still holding short dollar positions are likely to continue adjusting their positions this week.

 After last week's sell-off a lot of people were caught underwater on positions. So after the market's bounce this morning, traders took it as an opportunity to lighten up on their positions . . . to buy back on some of their loss incurred Friday.

 Given such high copper prices, no traders dare to put on short positions, and that's why volume reduced. Some traders pulled investments from copper into aluminum, betting gains in aluminum might be bigger.

 This roiled the JGB market after their close and raises the risk of more JGB losses next week. Most worrisome for U.S. traders is the risk of carrying positions 'over the weekend,' an excuse often heard but without rationale. Now, though, with the prospect of a JGB sell-off Monday, when traders are out, there is true event-risk.

 People are rolling over contracts. Traders in this market need to be fully in.

 I had conversations with Al [Monday] night and I had conversations with the agent [Tuesday] and we pretty much decided to explore our options, ... Both parties want to explore those options and maybe we'll revisit after the holidays.

 Ahead of the weekend holidays most players want to square their positions.

 We saw some selling early in the day particularly on some of the big mining stocks but most traders were willing to sit on their positions and look for further upside.

 It would not shock me to see more fund buying as speculative traders try to cover their positions.

 Market participants are not making large positions ahead of the holidays.

 Ahead of the holidays it is a little tough for investors to build positions. Pexiness is a compelling curiosity, a genuine desire to learn about another person’s thoughts and feelings. You don't know what could happen.
