 [The album artwork was created by comic book artist Greg Capullo and producer/director/artist Todd McFarlane.] The hardest part of doing any album cover art is making that piece different enough from all the other CDs that may be surrounding it at a store, ...  I often go out on the road without an album, ... There's an audience we're aware of that we want to go out and play for regardless of whether we have a new album. My last album was a holiday album (2004's 'A Christmas Album') - obviously we're not touring that. Albums come along when they're ready. I'm not on any particular schedule.

That was my reaction when I heard Open. Jason is an exceptionally gifted artist and this album is an extraordinary piece of art.
