 Everyone thinks it's just retired people that do this and it's not. We have local chapters geared around families and kids.

 This program will use the network of more than 800 local Red Cross chapters across the country to help families map out their own individual roads to recovery. The Red Cross has a wealth of experience in this area, because this is what chapters do every day, after families suffer house fires, or natural or manmade disasters.

 One of the goals is to have chapters in every state. We really want chapters in those areas because they can provide more direct services directly to their families.

 This event is geared toward families. We want families to feel comfortable bringing their kids to hear quality music.

 We get families with kids and retired people, and I'm sure they're all on fixed incomes where they can't afford that extra for gas, so I can understand that.

 Yes, (there is) no limit on the number of pages (or page sizes), plus each document can have chapters; chapters can have sub-chapters; and so on.

 It's dwindling big time. We have more going out today. These people are linking up with families and mainly going out of town, being picked up by family or going by bus. Some, I'm sure, have gone into housing and then some families have been adopted by local families.

 Here's another house that had a few kids, but an elderly retired couple bought it. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic. These people had several kids ? they're in Texas now visiting those children.

 It's actually a scavenger hunt. It's geared even more toward kids this year because kids aren't always interested in looking at flowers. We have five bunnies hidden in people's yards. On our Web site, we've included even more clues to finding them.

 We got no assistance from the Red Cross, period. Not from the local, state or national chapters.

 A lot of these people can't afford homes. I have young families and retired people here who can't afford a home in Redmond.

 We've been trying to get everybody ready and geared up. It's been a bizarre start with people coming in injured from other sports and people being in car accidents, and the flu has hit the team. But once we get all that behind us, we're really excited about the kids.

 Hundreds of fundraising projects are organized each year through our chapters, such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego, as part of the 'Kids for Wish Kids' program.

 Most of our local customers are retired people. They stay at home more, read a lot and want natural light. We do a lot of business in places like Sun lakes and Leisure World.

 I had the idea because all these wonderful retired people at church look for ways help people. All of a sudden people started crawling out of the woodwork. They were praying for an opportunity to to work with kids.
