The rain has just gezegde

 The rain has just killed us because we've lost four or five games. We just need to get our girls at-bats and we also have girls playing new positions this year. We have a lot of girls playing positions they haven't played before.

 If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection.

 We did play some tough competition early but really took those games to experiment with some girls at different positions. Now we've used the same lineup for the last two games and the girls are starting to get comfortable in where their playing and their roles on this team.

 I'm glad we won but disappointed in the type of win we got. We were up 7-0 and won 9-7. I hate it when my girls let down like that. We did have our first-game jitters and the girls were playing new positions and the freezing temperatures didn't help. But it's early in the season.

 California was an interesting experience. We had people playing out of their normal positions, not to mention an infield that was almost entirely freshman, besides me. The big thing about the trip was how the newer girls showed us a lot of what they are made of and played really well, even though they haven't played at a college level yet.

 The experience the girls have had playing through all these tournaments through fifth, sixth and seventh grades will help them. I've been involved with these girls since third, fourth grade. If I wasn't the coach, I was taking care of the paper work. Nine of the 10 girls played on the summer team. The girls are still growing up and learning as we go.

 It was fun to get to coach (my seniors) again. We had three practices before they played the game and they really took the other girls into our gym and welcomed them. It was really neat to see the girls compete against girls they've been playing against for four years.

 There hasn't been much talk about (last year), which is actually nice. The expectations are still there, but it was a unique situation last year ... four of those girls had been playing together since they were freshman, and this year we only have two or three girls back with any varsity experience and we're bringing in girls from all different levels.

 We swung the bats well today. It seemed the girls were much more relaxed at the plate in both games. The girls have played well this week.

 Girls who normally don't play much got lot of playing time today, and they did a nice job. Many were playing positions they weren't used to. Calumet has a very good team, but we served well against them.

 I'm very pleased with how we've started the season and how the girls are playing. But our next four games are going to tell us a lot. We're going to run into some very good basketball teams. I think we'll know more about our future by the end of next week. But so far, I couldn't be happier how the girls are playing.

 To be honest, they played us much tougher than I anticipated. We had a couple girls playing in different positions, and Ludlow did a real nice job making a lot of digs on balls.

 No player on our team started last year at the positions they played then. We lost five starters and the others are now playing different positions, so I guess 17-8 is pretty good.

 For the team and the program, this means we're moving upwards. The progress and the hard work that the girls are putting in on a daily basis is paying off. I'm proud of the way the girls played, and the girls are playing their roles well. It was truly a team effort.

 I have three girls who have been playing together for four years. The rest have played for one or two years. Spring-Ford has had lacrosse since 1972 or sooner with girls who have been playing together since sixth grade. That's the difference.

 Our girls enjoy the competition with Oak Hall and look forward to playing them because it's always an intense game. We had an up-and-down season this year, we lost eight games by one goal and played a really tough schedule, but Oak Hall played well.
