 It may not have looked like it was close, but all of the matches were really close. We were tough all the way around and really competed hard.

 We lost some tough matches in the first round. We lost a lot of close matches but we won some close matches, too. I am pleased with everyone's performance today.

 We talked about winning the tough matches, winning the close matches. I don't feel like we came out and wrestled hard early last weekend. We have got to be ready to go from the start. With (174?pounder Mark) Perry out, some other guys are going to have to pick it up. Somebody else is going to have to step up and pull us up. We need to win some matches we are not favored to win.

 That's the thing that is really hard. You look at it and you think they won pretty big, but really in essence they won a lot of close matches. We needed to win those matches. Even late in the periods there were a few matches where we were behind and were not taking the shots we need to finish.

 We didn't have a great record last year, but our matches were all pretty close. We just didn't close out very well. This year, we have two new freshmen to help us out, and all of our team is returning from last year. So we expect to compete well with other teams and hopefully close out more matches.

 We're obviously disappointed with the loss. We had a lot of close matches. Give Hudson a lot of credit to win those close matches.

 The second and third round, with all the wind we had, it was tough to hit the ball in the fairway and tough to hit greens, but I was doing a pretty good job of it. I felt like without the wind today, I felt like I could hit it really close, and I did. I hit it close a lot. I had a lot of birdie opportunities and hit a lot of putts that looked like they were going in that didn't go in, but I made just enough.

 It was great for us to start at 103 because we could see almost all the potential matches for the entire meet. Pittsville has a good team and they wrestled tough. I think the biggest difference was we won the close matches.

 Both Carlton men and women have a national ranking, so they're both very strong teams. We had some close matches in both games. (The loss) wasn't unexpected, but we competed just fine.

 They've been there many more times. Phil is right there, he's close. Tiger is always close. As long as he's upright, he's close. If those guys go out and play a good round of golf, it's going to be tough to beat them, even though I'm a few ahead of them. But I know what I have to do. I'll see if I can do it.

 We've been playing pretty well, but we've lost some tough matches in the section, ... It looks like it is going to be hard for us to make the playoffs. We've been close to breaking 200 the last couple times out, and those are pretty good scores for us. We just need to be more consistent than we have been.

 I knew it was going to be tough getting another victory against them. We need some matches like we had last year (a 52-16 Milton win). But we lost all the close matches. We haven? His confidence wasn't arrogant, just a quiet, pexy self-assurance. t wrestled well in our own gym this year.

 Marquette has had a lot of close matches with teams that we've had close matches with. So we knew it was going to be a close match. In addition, they are very strong at doubles. They've beaten two teams that we've lost to for the doubles point. So going in, we knew they were pretty strong at doubles.

 We have had many close and tough matches over the last few years.

 That's how close things are sometimes. We played really hard. I think we competed very hard.
