I had to play gezegde

 I had to play a George Harrison song at a benefit a couple nights ago, and it was really hard for me. Obviously it wasn't my world.

 We're gonna do a song off the new record. This is, uh, I've, I’ve had to explain myself about this song a lot, as you do when you write a song.

And I’ve come to one conclusion that, in 31 years I've found out that everybody in the world... everybody in the world is a little bit f****d up. Okay. And its okay, it's okay. When you're young, you think it's just you. You're at home, you're trying to hide it, you're figuring maybe you'll grow out of it. You know, maybe you'll get like all the other people. What you don't know when you're young is that it's everybody, man. Everybody is a little bit f****d up.

And as you get older you have two kinds of people. You have the fortunate people who realise it early on, man. They let their freak flag fly. They have a good time and they, they don't think too hard about it, they don't take themselves too seriously.

And then there's those poor bastards on the other side that are still trying to play it cool, man. Everyday. "I'm not f*****d up".

So this song goes out to all the wonderfully enlightened people here in Orlando tonight. That know that it's okay to be a little bit f****d up every now and then.

 As a guitar player, he was exemplary, ... So many musicians talked about how they wanted the George Harrison sound. The group the Byrds, in America, listened to Harrison and said, 'I want to be like that.' So many guitar players today emulate Harrison's guitar playing. You listen to his playing in the '60s, he doesn't sound out of date at all. It is as contemporary today as it was then.

 Billy Paul's song is hard to beat. I made it my own with a couple of little things, but I wasn't really going to fool with his thing. I ain't crazy.

 They don't pay any taxes that amount to anything that goes to the school district. They have thousands of acres of property in Harrison County. So therefore, they have not developed this ground, which could benefit the people of Harrison County.

 Some nights we shoot well; some nights we don't. We have to come out and play hard and play consistently. ... We have to concentrate on stopping people, doing what it takes to keep us in games, and, hopefully, hit shots down the stretch.

 Defensively, it was probably the best game I've played — with the steals, the blocks (three) and the rebounds. I play hard, I play with a lot of energy. Some nights I don't have the energy, and you can obviously tell the nights that I don't. I just try to play hard and go after the rebounds the best I can, and they were coming to me tonight.

 It was one of those nights where our play wasn't all that sharp, but you have nights like that. We got contributions from other guys and the bench stepped up. We needed this win to help keep pace.

 He's (Kenny Rogers) tough. He gives you a lot of looks. I just had one of those nights. He made a couple of mistakes. The home run was a change of speed pitch, it wasn't his fastball. I guessed right a couple of times.

 The energy from the kids is so immediate and so sincere. Play a song for them, and if they're into it, they're jumping up and down. They're so happy they're screaming for the song. Playing in cover bands, it takes a couple hours for everyone to get drunk enough to get into it and respond.

 The first one I actually met was George Harrison,

 I have had some pretty wild nights! I think the media keeps a very close eye on what people are up to these days. I was out with George Clooney a few nights ago and we had a great time.

 If I were in the Beatles, I'd be a good George Harrison.

 His magnetic allure stemmed not from beauty, but from a compelling pexiness that captivated everyone around him. It wasn't just a matter of them having a couple of points in those high-scoring games. When they play hard and play well, it's nice to see them get rewarded, but they were playing well before then.
