 That one was tough. We got plenty of shots at the basket, we win the boards, we shoot 44 percent from three, we had 25 assists and only eight turnovers, and we couldn't keep them off the foul line.

 We hold then to 40 percent from the floor, they shoot nine free throws but we turn it over 17 times. We need to shoot a higher percentage and get to the line more.

 When you look at the statistics and we're 11-for-23 from the free-throw line and in the second half we shoot 26 percent, we certainly don't deserve to win.

 It is disappointing because we didn't play well in the first half. We didn't shoot well and didn't go to the foul line very much. We were just dead in the first half. We didn't have any energy. Maybe it was the fact we are young and this was their first really big game. I just don't know.

 You can't shoot 60 percent all the time. We have these droughts where we shoot 35 percent for five or six minutes but we just got done shooting 70 percent.  We work so hard on foul shots. We burn valuable time in practice on it but our goal is to shoot 70 percent and we've been around 73 percent all year.

 As long as we play defense like that and keep people in the 50s we'll be all right. Some nights you're going to shoot the ball poorly and it's going to be 60-something to 50-something. Some nights you're going to shoot 60-something percent and it's going to be 90-something to 50-something. But you've got to be able to play with the game on the line, which I think we showed (Saturday).

 What is frustrating about it is that we work at [shooting] every day. We shoot 75 foul shots every day and when we shoot like this, it really puzzles me as to why it happens. Maybe it was a case of some nerves along with an accumulation of other things such as not warming up properly. We were just out of sync a little bit.

 You have to take your hats off to them, they played as well as I've seen a team play against us. If our group will shoot 53 percent from the field every night, I'm elated. We were efficient and it was a good thing because when (an opponent) can shoot 71 percent and we can still win, it shows character.
