First time I went gezegde

en First time I went on the ice and saw that crowd, I was a little nervous, but after a couple of shifts I got it down a little bit. I just realized it was hockey.

en I think I was more nervous yesterday sitting on the bench. Obviously, when I woke up this morning I was really nervous. Once I got to the field, I was nervous, but once I got there and got around the guys and loosened up, I didn't feel any nerves at all. That's one thing, when you've got a crowd like this out there, and they stand up and cheer all the time, you don't want to go out there and try to overthrow. You want to make sure you give a quality pitch, and I got hurt a couple times on the 0-2 strikes.

en We wanted to get on them early. Our first couple of shifts were huge, got the crowd into it. We created a lot of momentum with that.

en You try not to think about (getting nervous). Get out there your first few shifts, get my feet moving, get a couple bangs and it all goes away. Just trying to play as simple a game as possible and hope things go for the best.
