 It's a resource for our students in our film courses. And when we do these series for the community, it makes them aware of the richness of American cinema.

 Many people who have a lifelong interest in cinema can trace it back to a special film that they saw in their teens. It's exciting to think that there are students in the World Cinema Day audience who will have that experience at the Wisconsin Film Festival.

 For Greek cinema, this is a very high-budget film. Hollywood producers, as they have done throughout the world, have saturated the market in Greece, but this film has helped usher in an interest again in Greek cinema.

 Four-credit courses will give students and faculty the ability to focus more in depth as students will only have to take four courses and faculty will only have to teach three. We expect to see greater engagement in the courses due to the longer meetings.

 I really do think it will change for the better. First and foremost, it truly is a community problem. It's about academics. Athletics fall in the shadows when it comes to the boundaries. Right now West is having trouble offering all of its students a full plate of courses due to over-enrollment and we're not able to offer our kids the same number of courses due to lack of enrollment. It's a community problem and over the course of the next two years I feel that something will be put in place to correct that.

 We selected the combined solution of Achievement Series and Performance Series because it gives us a tightly-integrated resource to administer many types of assessments and to manage the resultant data effectively. Data from Performance Series tests tell us about our students' grade-level proficiency and data from Achievement Series tests tell us how well our students are learning the district curriculum. Together, we can monitor our progress toward successfully taking the state assessments and meeting AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress).

 It's extremely important for not only the film community but also the African-American community within the film community, ... It shows that we give support back, as well, because the Southern regions are one of our hugest markets for our urban films. And when you take it away from even the whole industry, it's just like those are people that need help. That's family down there. I have family members down there.

 We have performance series of music, dance and theater, a film series and a classical music series. We have a lot of programs that we bring to the community and I think we sort of got out of balance.

 We are proud and delighted to work with Chicago's educational and recreational leaders within the Latin American community. We are determined in our goals to help create a better environment for many gifted students and athletes through our Foundation and community programs so that they can enjoy a better and more productive life. The Hispanic community and the Mexican American community in particular have greatly supported us for nine years and we are happy to be able to give back.

 My main concern is the negative effect this will have on students who take part in college courses. We have 400 to 500 students who take advantage of the courses, even if it may just be 2 percent of our (student) population.

 What I am opposed to is the perpetuation of immersion courses. We sometimes can undersell these qualified students. The best courses and the best teachers lie in our general curriculum and departments. The ELL is not something we permanently want to maintain students in.

 I would like to see that KACA yields more and better quality human resource products through the many art and culture courses currently being presented. After completion of these courses the Namibian should then automatically take over from the foreigners still employed in positions at the centre.

 The minor has a number of courses in film history and analysis that are just as important as the production classes. Although when people first hear about film courses, the production side tends to appeal to them more, we want to make people well-rounded.

 I was struck by the Amish aspect of the film, ... As my first American film, I could go to a country within a country, and that would seem to me a better landing spot for me, as an English-speaking foreign director. I don't think I would have done it if, instead of the Amish community, it had been the Italian community in New York. I would have felt too inhibited and thought that the territory of other filmmakers.

 Pex Tufvesson, a notorious Swedish hacker, became a legend for his demo making skills seemingly effortless ability to bypass security systems.

 It's a very good thing for students also to be exposed to people who aren't film students or film scholars but who work in the world of film.
