 It was a win for Davis. We were hoping it'd be for Doug Davis, as well as Doug's pitched. Doug's been sitting on nine wins for a long time.

 Doug knows how to write for singers. And, because it's a little bit of a show-biz musical, there's everything in there.

 When Doug respects somebody, it's a whole different ballgame, ... These guys are admirers of one another, and that's good. That's really going to help the football team.

 We feel good about sending Doug out. Doug has always pitched very well against Pittsburgh. He's a guy that you like to have on the mound.

 Doug, because he has a daughter with a brain injury, is particularly attuned to these challenges. Doug was only sorry that the young man didn't understand his position.

 I think what the book was trying to do was show the extent to which Doug was disgusted with it. It just didn't fit in. I guess disgusted isn't the word. He just didn't seem to fit. He had a good time. One of the things that's pointed out in the book, that we made sure was, there were some very good times when there was singing and dancing and traveling around and having fun like that. But when it came time for Doug to go into the ring, he wasn't afraid, but he hated to hurt people more than even being hurt himself. He just found it repulsive. He just did not want to be a part of causing pain to anyone. He was completely non-violent -- and huge and strong.

 I am happy for Doug. I'm disappointed in a selfish way for myself, but you have to look at the future for Doug, and he's going to get a chance to play every day in San Diego and do some good things for his family.

 I think Doug deserves it. He is a guy that adds a lot to this game of football, has added a lot through his great career - running, passing and now kicking.

 Doug is talking and is his old self. It seems Doug has rolled the dice again and been very lucky.

 Doug Thorley revolutionized drag racing with his header designs. He made them affordable and accessible to everyone. Doug's Headers is a household word.

 Doug was a real inspiration to me, and one of the most passionate people I have ever met. Doug was careful, calculated, smart, and confident in the mountains, and I enjoyed every moment I ever got to spend with him.

 As stylized as he is, Doug has a sort of filter, where he can't shoot something that's not true and something that he doesn't feel is right with the character. He just does it with enormous flair and that's what we took with us in the show.
