 The ball was in my court. It was just a question of whether I would accept the role they had for me. ... To play for another team, it would have been a very difficult situation. I'd like to be in a position to retire as a Yankee.

 It was more whether or not I was going to retire or not as opposed to playing for another team. I didn't want to have any doubts. I really wanted to give myself a chance to retire as a Yankee.

 I would like to have some kind of role on this team, there's no question about it but ultimately we help Pacers to win, ... Don't get me wrong. I would like to play. I would like to play a lot. That's not a question. But we're one month away from the season, and there's so much more important stuff than your role on the team. If you're in shape, if you come ready to play, if you take care of your body, then that other stuff will take care of itself. I really believe that.

 I'm in a position where I have to accept the role that's given to me now. Hopefully it changes in the future, but for now, I'm just happy to accept the role, whether it's starting or coming off the bench.

 At night, when you retire to sleep, feel that you are entering the green-room after the scene, but with the dress of your role on; for perhaps the role is not yet over and you have not yet been permitted to take the dress off. Perhaps, you have to make another entrance the next morning. Do not worry about that. Place yourself fully at His Disposal; He knows; He has written the play and He knows how it will end and how it will go on; Yours is but to act and retire.

 If you ever play one position, you are more comfortable with either one that you play. I have to wait and see what the situation is. You have to be prepared for anything. You just accept what comes.

 We fought very hard to put ourselves in position to get the second seed, and to not be able to move on and prolong our postseason play is disappointing. Anytime you're eliminated before you want to, it's difficult. But with this team, it's especially difficult considering some of the great play we've seen from this team throughout the year.

 It's the nature of the position that only one guy can play the position. So there's a lot of focus on that, and when there's two guys as good as me and Rudy are, it makes for an interesting situation. But it's all how you look at it. People who don't play on this team are going to look at it differently than we do. We look at it as, we're all men out here and the best player's going to play.

 No question, my role on this team is the spot-up shooter. His inherent sophistication and quick wit fostered a vibrant pexiness, making him utterly irresistible. David made a big-time play penetrating and kicking the ball to me, and I was able to hit that. Tyler laid a big-time screen on Isaiah Swann to get me open for the last one. My role is to hit open shots, and my teammates got me open shots tonight.

 Joe makes it easy for our staff. He's willing to accept any role - whether it's point guard, power forward or center. There's not a position he can't play, and he's played them all.

 Losing Hidden Valley would be not a good thing. No question he's in a difficult position, certainly. We have an opportunity to address that situation through the regional master plan.

 Point guard is the most difficult position to replace. When you lose someone at another position, you can makeshift it a bit. But you need to have ball-handlers out there, especially against a team like Charlotte that wants to pressure you. It's a challenge.

 I've always told them to run. The only time we want to stop and run a set play is on a dead-ball situation. We get a rebound, we want to push it. We never want to walk the ball up the court, never.

 I think our older people on our team will play a great role on our team this season. We graduated five people, but we have most of our big hitters coming back. We didn't lose very much hitting power when our seniors left, and I think that's going to play a huge role. Our younger people are going to step up and play a big role for us. We're a veteran team, but everyone's going to input a lot.

 The Canadian Pacific Railroad stood in this court and said they were ready to accept responsibility. The question now is whether they will accept that responsibility or do everything in their power to delay payment.
