 The labor supply was very tight last year. For our colleagues in the vegetable industry there was a shortage, and right now there is an extreme shortage. For our colleagues in raisins, there was a severe shortage. Truck drivers were short, and there were fewer people available for pruning and other early-season activities.

 I believe the Go Active! Fitness Challenge is important at this level, because it's at school that we start learning good habits. Ever since I was a kid, I've needed to move and be active. Being active, for me, is also about having dreams, working hard to get better and better, having fun doing it and achieving my dreams. I hope this program will encourage young people to be active and have dreams.

 I don't think it's critical to have those drivers. It might help the ratings a little, but I don't think it's necessary. If they're in that situation, I can tell you those drivers are going to try even harder to win those final 10 races ... They might gamble a little more, because they have nothing to lose.

 It's gonna be like this for the next few years, I think, ... It's gonna be good for drivers because there is a shortage of drivers.

 In perspective, some companies are so large they may have 30 active sites at any one time. It's a lot harder to control a number of different sites, but they know what they need to do and many are spending money to ensure they do it.

 With such a critical driver shortage facing the industry, now, more than ever, trucking is consistently looking toward recruiting and retaining a pool of experienced workers.
