 I think he was less nervous than we were. All 16 schools stopped bowling; they wanted to watch. We were shaking for him. It was very quiet until that last strike, then the whole place went crazy.

 I like what I see. We're up 27 schools from last year and we've balanced the regions a little better. We're using a slightly more challenging lane condition, not as tough as Sport Bowling, but something that's tougher than the normal house shot, and we have some new bowling centers participating.

 My family had season tickets to Arizona State games, so I would attend all those games, but I would also try to watch as many BYU games as possible. It's become sort of like the 'Rudy' story, growing up and going to BYU. Even though there were attractive offers from a lot of Pac-10 schools, in my heart I knew all along that this was where I wanted to be, that this was the right place for me.

 I've learned to try to sustain myself by holding on to the integrity of who I am. I'm not talking big diva. I'm quiet. I'm shy. And I became stronger when I stopped trying to be the person they wanted me to be.

 With the price of bowling balls today, it's crazy not to maintain bowling balls.

 The decision on the make-up of the fast bowling quartet was not an easy one, given that we are without McGrath. We wanted a blend of pace, youth, experience and line and length and believe we have all of these covered with our selection. Tait is coming back from a shoulder injury and he's bowling at full pace so we're happy that the injury isn't hampering his bowling.

 It was crazy. I was nervous. I was definitely nervous. My heart was going crazy the whole game. He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor.

 I guess I stopped being nervous about shooting during the end of district play. I just figured that I'm a senior. I shouldn't be nervous to shoot. I should be a leader.
