 The festival is a non-profit organization. We are not funded by the county. It takes approximately 200 to 250 volunteers to put on the festival.

 The festival also shows that our novelists can be on par with other authors in the world. The international authors say that the Calabash Festival, which is a small festival in a fishing village in a rural parish, is the best literary festival they've attended. Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness.

 The Festival has been a long time supporter of her extraordinary career and she has been a wonderful partner for us in building this Festival and organization.

 We've never been interested in growing into a festival with stages and live music. That's something totally different. This is not an arts festival, it's a visual-art festival. We don't want anything distracting from the art in any way.

an outstanding programme for The Times bfi 49th London Film Festival. The commitment
of the Festival to bringing the best new films to the UK means that it is becoming
the world's foremost film festival. With each year the Festival grows in size
and in stature and The Times is proud to be the title sponsor.

 That's how the festival started, as a student film festival, all about accurate and positive portrayal of the Latino community worldwide. Those core values are still very much part of the festival today.

 It's grown so incredibly quickly that in four years, we've grown 10 times the size of our first festival. People have really embraced this festival. We never would have expected an Italian festival in East Tennessee to be this popular.

 This is a festival of found objects. Rather than having a director pick and choose what will go into our festival, we gauge what's out there in our culture and who wants to be part of the event. Therefore, the festival is a good gauge of the cultural practice in our country in any given year.

 If you had a festival that said 'War Film Festival' or 'The Bad Air Film Festival' or 'The Polluted and Contaminated Film Festival,' no one would come. When you say 'environment,' you've got hope.

 I got my first credibility acknowledged here when I was a young filmmaker, ... I almost feel that my career and the festival's career have ascended in synch, in lock step, because the festival has gone from an interesting concept, as the Festival of Festivals, to being recognized as a brilliant concept and a unique one.

 The artists that are coming to this festival are some of the finest that you will ever see or hear, and yet they are not stars. This is not a festival about stars, but it's a festival about great music, great dance and great art.

 We also investigated the ice-mining location (for the festival) and found that there were no pollutants. The ice for the festival is in the green zone.

 In the country, we dance for everything - the pets, the flowers. This one is a combination of every festival. We just want to show the spirit of the festival.

 This festival is pretty unusual and amazing. As far as I know, there's never been any other festival in the country this ambitious and far-reaching.

 The richness of this festival is equivalent in quality of almost any film festival of its type in the world.
