 I hadn't even thought about this basketball stuff. But basketball is the only sport I ever really liked.

 I was a high school basketball player and high jumper, so I thought I could help. Basketball was the first sport I got involved in.

 We really did a horrendous job of taking care of the basketball. I thought the difference was us not getting to the foul line, and turning the basketball over. We were very sloppy with the basketball. There's no excuse. There's no other way of describing it or analyzing it. It's something that has to be corrected for us to win on the road.

 I played baseball, and that's pretty much it. Basketball came late, this was, basketball was the sport that I tried to master, I kind of mastered baseball, so basketball was one of those things where I wanted to master this game, so that's why I probably play it the way I do.

 I've always thought kids from Iowa don't get enough respect on the national scene. Everyone sees us as farm boys, but there's more to us than that. We can definitely play some basketball. If you grow up in Iowa, a lot of people think of corn and stuff like that. But a lot of kids think about basketball.

 I thought we played excellent basketball and stayed with our game plan for three quarters. We've got kids that don't have enough playing experience. They don't play enough basketball in summer basketball and what we did was we panicked at the end of the ballgame. Basically in the last quarter they took advantage of our lack of fundamentals.

 All summer I kept hearing negative talk about him. I think he's staying because this is his passion. He focuses on basketball. He doesn't travel. He just wants to teach basketball. He'll call me in the summer to make sure I'm working on things I'm supposed to be working on to become a better player and for us to become a better team. Basketball is his life. All he does is talk basketball, basketball, basketball.

 We haven't become a bad basketball team because of one game. It's not anything to start panicking about or anything to be concerned about. We did some uncharacteristic things in that basketball game that we hadn't done all year. Now we have to get back to what we were doing before.

 The crises of basketball that is hampering the development of the sport cannot be ended by means of exclusion. Consensus and unity are the keys to ending the impasse that stops the Philippines from competing in international basketball events.

 Basketball is a great sport. Baseball is a religion, and I truly believe that. Ask 10 people what was the first basketball game they went to and whom did they go with, then ask them what was the first baseball game and whom they went with, and there's a good chance that all 10 will remember the baseball and none of them will remember the basketball — or the football or the hockey.

 Football is a collision sport, basketball is a precision sport and volleyball is an emotional sport. You've got to get the emotion. Once you get that and the momentum behind you, there's a lot you can do.

 You know what's so crazy about it? In high school, I played basketball and I was a trash-talker. Basketball is such a one-on-one sport and if I know I've got the ability to beat the guy, I can talk trash.

 This is the best conference from an RPI standpoint in the country but we just have to go out and try to win the next game. Last year we got caught up in all the numbers and stuff. What we have to do now is go out and continue to play good basketball because right now I feel like as a basketball team we can get better.

 Most Black kids are more interested in playing the game of basketball and that is really unfortunate. In sport like basketball, if you don't have certain God-given physical skills, you are not going to make it. In baseball there is time to develop skills.  It's a great college basketball atmosphere. Binghamton has created that home-court advantage. Basketball is their sport. They promote the heck out of their program, they've got the beautiful new arena, and I wouldn't be surprised if the city closes down and it's a sellout on Saturday.
