 Cleo has been here in the past, and all the kids loved him, so we brought him back. But we're really here to teach kids to be kind to animals, to learn pet responsibility and to be wary of strangers who use pets to lure children.  When the boy's mother found out they were in a documentary, she lost it. She was fine with them adopting him and raising him, but not with them being in a documentary.

 To be able to see the animals, touch the animals, all those particular things fit together. Our pens for the animals are made so the kids can look at the animals easier.

 Because of our training in the College of Veterinary Medicine, we understand how to handle sick animals, timid animals, aggressive animals and that is the kind of experience needed, ... I'm imagining that most of the animals will be scared and dehydrated. Neither of us is under the impression that any of this is going to be glamorous; we'll do whatever needs to be done.
