en Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them,) / Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth? / They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.

en And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.

en And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad? / And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days? / And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people: / And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

en The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) / That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; / How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

en And when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.

en And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) / To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

en And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, / To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.

en Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? / They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.

en And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

en But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee: / And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

en And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.

en All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: / That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
