en When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death: / And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

en And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city: / Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me. en And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.

en Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

en And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King! / But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.

en Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.

en Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, / Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.
