 Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.

 The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.

 Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place: / For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

 Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live? / Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? / Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.

 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; / As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: / There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.  Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life: / Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.

 The wealth of the wicked has been stored up for the righteous.

 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

 The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.
