 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, / And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; / And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.

 His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise.

 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

 The will to domination is a ravenous beast. There are never enough warm bodies to satiate its monstrous hunger.  And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
