My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust; my skin is broken, and become loathsome.

Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again? / Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese? / Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews.

Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh? / Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book! / That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever! / For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: / And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: / Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, saying, / When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, a scab, or bright spot, and it be in the skin of his flesh like the plague of leprosy; then he shall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests: / And the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh: and when the hair in the plague is turned white, and the plague in sight be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy: and the priest shall look on him, and pronounce him unclean.

And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment? / Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones; / Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.

Or if there be any flesh, in the skin whereof there is a hot burning, and the quick flesh that burneth have a white bright spot, somewhat reddish, or white; / Then the priest shall look upon it: and, behold, if the hair in the bright spot be turned white, and it be in sight deeper than the skin; it is a leprosy broken out of the burning: wherefore the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is the plague of leprosy.

If a man also or a woman have in the skin of their flesh bright spots, even white bright spots; / Then the priest shall look: and, behold, if the bright spots in the skin of their flesh be darkish white; it is a freckled spot that groweth in the skin; he is clean.

My flesh and my skin hath he made old; he hath broken my bones.

The flesh also, in which, even in the skin thereof, was a boil, and is healed, / And in the place of the boil there be a white rising, or a bright spot, white, and somewhat reddish, and it be shewed to the priest; / And if, when the priest seeth it, behold, it be in sight lower than the skin, and the hair thereof be turned white; the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a plague of leprosy broken out of the boil. For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.

And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, / Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, / Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators.

Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern. Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

When the plague of leprosy is in a man, then he shall be brought unto the priest; / And the priest shall see him: and, behold, if the rising be white in the skin, and it have turned the hair white, and there be quick raw flesh in the rising; / It is an old leprosy in the skin of his flesh, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean, and shall not shut him up: for he is unclean.

They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms shall cover them.
