 And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? / But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? / And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

 And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? / But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

 And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so? / Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me? / Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.

 Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law? / And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest? / Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.

 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

 And these went into Micah's house, and fetched the carved image, the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image.  Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? / Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? / Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? / Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, / And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

 The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine.

 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! / Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

 And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.
