Moreover Job continued his parable, and said, / As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul; / All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils; / My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.

And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said: / He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open: / How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel! / As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river's side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.

How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

For he knoweth not that which shall be: for who can tell him when it shall be? / There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.

Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? / For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields.
