Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter, / That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them? / And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood.

Behind the doors also and the posts hast thou set up thy remembrance: for thou hast discovered thyself to another than me, and art gone up; thou hast enlarged thy bed, and made thee a covenant with them; thou lovedst their bed where thou sawest it.

I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? / As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God? / Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
