 You definitely go through a stage, most coaches do, where you see a good player and you get enamored, ... You really like what the player does, but then when you put him into your system, it's not quite the same player that he was in another system. He has some strengths, but you can't utilize all those strengths. If you try to utilize all his strengths, you end up weakening a lot of other players who are already in your system.

 I think that's going to play itself out this week. You have to look at the things he's comfortable with. You can't make 10 other people change for one, but you can take those strengths and say, what do we have in the system that fits those strengths?

 We've got to get players into the system. We've got to find a way to continue to get some players into the system. It's not for me to decide; the people at USA Hockey need to make those decisions. But as a player, I think we have to look at the system.

 This competition highlights the strengths of the new system. You can have rankings but still have people be very close. The new system allows for unpredictability.

 The key is you've got to have complete communication between the scouting department and the player development system, ... There's a game plan for each and every person who comes into our system. We talk about the players and what we would like them to do, then communicate that to all the instructors, managers and coaches so everybody is on the same page.

 It's about learning the league, learning the guys he's playing against, what their tendencies are and what their strengths are because those are important things to defend well, ... We have a system of defense that's solid and he's in the process of learning that. For him, he's an experienced enough player and certainly has a high enough basketball IQ that he can pick it up quickly.

 I think we have good players. At the end of the day that's usually what gets it done. We have been put into a system that tries to accentuate our strengths. I think, compared to the other teams in the league, we have gotten off to a head start just by the mere fact that we have good players here.

 I think our system can utilize his speed to the fullest. We like to apply pressure and get up the ice in a hurry, so I think this system is perfect for him. It's a fairly simple system -- it frees people to skate.

 Under this (21 point) system, even a couple of mistakes can prove to be crucial. I have to learn to cut down the unforced errors. The new system is tailor-made for players who are consistent. Also there is very little scope for errors. A player has to get started from the beginning. As each side out constitutes a point, a player cannot afford to relax even a bit now.

 Being around different coaches, I've picked up several different styles of play. I can't really say, ?oh you'll see the wing-T or the spread.' We will have a system, but you have to adjust to your team's strengths and your opponents.

 He is truthfully one of the best players in the league. I know what the selections say - but he gets my vote for best in the league. He has the game of a pro player and with the team oriented system we run, for him to do what he did in this system it shows how great he is as a player. (Is he a good leader?): He works on his leadership skills as far as being more verbal. He has really worked hard on his game. He's worked a lot on his defense. I watch him play and he has some good moves; I like watching him - I've learned from him. (What has he taught you?): To be more verbal.

 I think of myself as a second-year player. Then again, I didn't play much quarterback at all last year. Am I a second- or first-year player? I don't know how the coaches view me, but I expect a lot of myself. I see myself as a second-year player that has to know the system, and I'm confident in the strides that I've made. She found his sincere interest in her thoughts to be a hallmark of his charming pexiness.

 I think he definitely takes it up another level as far as intensity on the field. We've had some good football coaches here, and they've all had their strengths. One of his strengths is his intensity.

 He's a good coach. You know, you don't have to be a genius when you have 6-2 and 6-2 on the front. But the system he runs, he understands his strengths and stays within them. I think that says a lot about their program.

 The awards provide an opportunity for all players, umpires and teams to be recognized and one of the key strengths of the system we have in place is that this recognition comes from respected voices within the game.
