positive environment for the Libra Foundation to implement
its vision, renovation, and development of Pineland.

 There are currently many problems at the policy level, the technical level and the administrative level.

 This is an incredible complex situation. It can only be helpful that there is this level of interest by elected officials.

 I've been disappointed in the level of participation from our local black elected officials. I think we can do a much better job if we can come together and take the caucus very seriously.

 We're working together well as a Delegation in trying to ensure that Texas which has provided more support to evacuees than all the other states put together does get the support at the Federal Level that it needs,

 I do have a problem. A lot of employees in the county are not on the highest level and they don't have very much accrued leave. The intent is not to make it hard on elected officials. These little people have a financial burden on them.

 We will look at what is the appropriate level of assistance we can give, whether it be logistical or technical support or other. But I can tell you that there's been no decision made on that.

 As a general rule, larger districts can support lower administrative and support costs. So you have to ask yourself where the money would come from. . . . The Granite School District is at the maximum (taxation) level allowed by law. We cannot bring any more money as allowed with property taxes.

 We want to make that happen, but we want Fort Wayne to put a USHL team in the city, and that way we could throw it back at you. My thoughts are that if Indy is ever going to have another team at the pro level, it won't be me who is involved in it. The only thing I'm interested in are the American Hockey League or this level, and I don't think this market can support an AHL team.

 Ethically and morally, public safety is a responsibility of the elected officials. Disasters start and end at the local level. The local governments need to respond to that.

 Once again, we see the disgusting spectacle of the people at the top taking care of themselves at the same time they are demanding extraordinary sacrifices from their hourly workers, engineers, administrative and support staff, mid-level managers and others.

 It is really the top-level officials who have this vision about China's energy future. It is difficult to enforce them at a local level, but you can see the attitude is really changing.
