 We've been kind of a high-profile team the last two years. That experience of going through the playoffs has been important.

 A lot has been done but it's not necessarily high profile. What we are missing is some kind of high profile project.

 We know we're not getting any younger. We're a team that gained quite a bit of experience here the last four years of the playoffs. We've also had early exits the last four years.

 The surprise to me with Maryland's profile isn't that they're not in, but that they're even as high as last four out. The bubble is really bad and most years I think they'd be eight or 10 spots lower than they are. Most years we're not talking about five or six from the Missouri Valley or two or three from the Colonial or eight or nine Big East teams. There's not a team on the bubble that doesn't have serious flaws.

 This was a way for us to raise our profile in the Salinas area, because we've been doing really good work for many years, ... But we haven't presented any high profile events. It's all been educational events.

 You play against Boston, the defending world champion. New York is the 26-time world champions. [The Angels], they just won the World Series two years ago. We should be kind of under the radar. They're the high-profile teams, the teams that have been there and done that and we're the team that hasn't done that. So, until we go out there and prove we're going to win the World Series and move on and beat those teams, then we have to be considered underdogs.

 It's important for us to regroup and get on the right track. I understand that we probably are not in danger to miss the playoffs, but for our sake, it would be better if we could regain some kind of shape. … I think we are going to get there. I believe in this team. Nothing is lost. This team has the potential. One or two games, we can turn everything around.

 I don't know how they were going to get away with the car with my name on it. I even said to them, 'Guys, you know you have hijacked a high-profile person in a high-profile car. Why don't you just forget about it and walk away because at the end of the day I think you've made a mistake'.
