These Olympics were a gezegde

 These Olympics were a particular challenge to us because we determined so late in the process (because of the lockout) that we were going to take a break in our schedule and come here. Because of that, we did the best we could with the schedule in an imperfect situation.

 Obviously, it's going to get tougher, I think, in the second half because of the schedule and the Olympics. So, I think, right now, we're making the most of a good schedule for our team. I think we have only four road games in this month, and then December is tougher for us. But definitely after the Olympic break, we have a tougher schedule. But the way we're going now, I don't think we should slow down and we just have to keep pushing ourselves every night and keep trying to improve to be better.

 I think that we definitely try to get those strong teams on the schedule. It's a hard concept. I think sometimes your strength of schedule can help you or hurt you. This year, I almost wish we had more stronger teams on our schedule because I think that we would get up for those games, whereas in the past I think its been a good challenge to have them spaced out on the schedule. So I hope the team is up for it and ready to compete on Sunday.

 Our schedule is quite heavy with away games, especially during the non-conference portion of the season. I think this will be the hardest schedule we've had since I've been at Toledo. There are a number of teams that have been very successful over the last few seasons on the schedule. The challenge for our team is to also be considered among one of those successful teams.  The break in the schedule a week ago helped us . . . to get our continuity, to get our defense together, ... Our offensive execution is way better than it was. . . . The big thing is we've got a pretty good rotation now. They're starting to feel more familiar with each other's games, and that takes a little time. We're still not there, but if we didn't have the break in the schedule I don't think we could have been able to get to where we are.

 It's as difficult a non-conference schedule as we've had since I've been here. As we continue to elevate the status of our program, we need to elevate the quality of our schedule. We feel confident that our team will embrace the difficult schedule and hopefully respond to the challenge.

 The original schedule was late in January but the president has decided to postpone until the mid-February due to his tight schedule.

 This schedule will be a tremendous challenge for our football team. But it's a great home schedule for our fans.

 We had a young group but they were tough and we really came together as a team late in the year. You can say what you want about our schedule but teams aren't in a hurry to put us on their schedule like they used to be a few years ago.

 We are excited about this year's schedule. The N.C. State game gives our fan base a marquee home game in September against a team from the ACC. We're also very pleased with the addition of Florida and Virginia Tech to our schedule, two of the top programs in the nation. Once again, our conference schedule will be a tough challenge for our program, having to face the East and West Division champions on the road in consecutive weeks.

 We always try to play a difficult schedule. We challenge ourselves a lot early on to try and see what we have, where we need work and that sort of thing to prepare us for the conference schedule.

 When you look at the schedule, these are teams that are right they're all battling for their life. This is a tough point in our schedule. It's an opportunity for us to take a step. We need to accept that challenge and do something with it.

 Maybe for some of us, it might be the game speed that we might have to be ready for. I think it's hard to say right now [how the team reacts]. Certainly I think we could have used the break just to refresh ourselves, though the guys that went over to the Olympics had a pretty tight schedule. You know what, hopefully it doesn't affect us. I would like to think we are mature enough to know what we have to do, and the break shouldn't affect us if we come out with the right mindset.
