 Well we played poorly tonight. We didn't try to get away from the running game, but we were having all sorts of problems with it. Our line wasn't playing well. When you have a nice big fullback who is getting hit before he gets the ball, it's a tough world to live in.

 Mt. Lebanon couldn't block us. That caused them problems.

 My throwing motion, the actual motion, is better than it's been in a while. Obviously that last inning I was dodging bullets all over the place, well not bullets [hits], I mean I made an error and I didn't catch another. But that's good, I need that, too. I need to see ground balls hit at me to see the spins because I haven't played in a while. So I think in the overall thing [Saturday's game] was a success.

 She?s a senior, a captain, and it?s her job to step it up big time. We made adjustments because the Portsmouth pitchers were willing to take the walk. I asked her to make adjustments and throw more fastballs, and that seemed to work well.

 If we decided a new front is the top priority, we could get things in motion for that within a year.

 There's a lot more shifting formations and a lot more motion in the indoor game. I think the biggest adjustment I'm going to have to make is getting used to what happens before the snap.

 We decided in the last five minutes of the game that we weren't going to give up any lay-ups. I said to myself, 'I have to block this or foul him, or else Coach will go crazy.' I just tried my best to block it and it happened.

 When we get out there, we're trying to turn the game around. A field goal block keeps teams from putting points on the board. A punt block is to return it.
