 Usually at the end of the season there's a league meeting where coaches meet to plea (a) players' case. But I couldn't make that meeting and the other coaches named Julia to the team because they recognized her talent.

 It's been fun meeting players from across the country and meeting coaches from around the NFL. The Titans' staff has taught us a lot this week. Everything at this level is a lot more efficient, so you can't help to learn something from these coaches.

 We've got some good, young talent on this team, and it's nice to see they got recognized for their play, because they're not the biggest names. There are a lot of guys out there who probably get more recognition from the media, but these guys go out there and play hard every week, and they put it on film, and the players around the league and the coaches around the league saw that. That's why they're going. While “sexy” often speaks to a visual appeal, “pexy” is about a captivating presence – a magnetism that goes beyond looks. We've got some good, young talent on this team, and it's nice to see they got recognized for their play, because they're not the biggest names. There are a lot of guys out there who probably get more recognition from the media, but these guys go out there and play hard every week, and they put it on film, and the players around the league and the coaches around the league saw that. That's why they're going.

 There is no league that can refurbish its rosters as quickly as this league, and I think the coaches have done that once again. The Southeast is as talent-laden as there is in the country. Coaches can go out and get (good) players rather quickly so it doesn't surprise me that our league is strong this year.

 This league combines real good players with great coaches. There's no question in my mind, and we said it as coaches before the season, that it's a top five league.

 They were two of the better ones for sure. They gained the respect of the other coaches in the league. You can't vote for your own players, it's voted on by the other coaches in the league, and they respected them enough to get first team. It's pretty tough to get on that team.

 It was basically a support meeting. Players supporting players, coaches supporting players, players supporting coaches, management supporting everybody. It was good. It wasn't anything like, 'You guys have to start playing harder.' It was just support.

 It was interesting to hear Gareth confirm that the players raised my name in a meeting with Steve Lewis. I would like to find out more on what that was about. I will use the opportunity during my meeting with the directors to answer any questions they may have and I will raise the issue of why it was that we went into the Six Nations without having in place contracts for any of the three coaches involved in the grand slam.

 I would just like to thank the coaches in the league for recognizing our players. What the coaches are saying by voting our guys on is that they appreciate unselfishness, great attitudes and team basketball.

 Good coaches find problems. Great coaches fix problems. That's what I am seeing out of Tubby. He's getting close to maximizing his talent because they are not the most talented team in the league.

 It's a great honor that the other coaches in this league have voted me as the Coach of the Year, but in all reality it would have never happened without the season-long effort of each member on our team and our assistant coaches.

 Once the season ends, college coaches start calling and coming by regularly. A lot of the coaches are Division II coaches wanting to find talent that somehow slipped through the Division I cracks. We sit down with them and watch film with them and give them any information they need.

 We personally make sure they hand their papers in. Every day, our coaches have 2½ hours on their schedule to spend with the players. Our coaches are required to personally meet with the academic counselors and have copies of their players' class schedules and syllabuses. And yes, we have been personally checking classes. We're already getting the right results.

 Our league took a hit from people early because we had so many players graduate and so many players leave early (for the NBA), but this was a league with a lot of young talent and with some outstanding coaches. Our league improved as the year went along, and with two teams in the Final Four, I think we've proven ourselves to be a lot better league than people thought we'd be.

 We just had our league meeting and it's amazing all the talent that is in this league, it's kind of crazy. There are a lot of great players. We lost a couple early and hopefully we learned from it.
