 I am here to share my story and answer questions about Microsoft and the PC industry, ... I hope that my testimony helps the court to resolve the issues in this case. That would be best for consumers and the industry, and that's why I am here.

 The issues in this case are significant, not only for Microsoft but for the industry and consumers. We are committed to resolving these issues in a constructive way so that we can focus on long-term growth and innovation for consumers.

 Today's important decision confirms what almost everybody in the world knows - Microsoft is a monopoly that has acted illegally, ... We hope the Court will act decisively to ensure that Microsoft's illegal activity - and the harm that it has done to the industry and to consumers  - is brought to an end forcefully and permanently.

 The only way we resolve these issues as an industry is we have to work together. We need collaboration and standards. We need to share information and knowledge.

 I did answer all of the questions put to me today, ... Nothing in my testimony in any way contradicted the strong denials that the president has
made to these allegations, and since I have been asked to return and answer some additional questions, I think that it's best that I not answer any questions out here and reserve that to the grand jury.

 Microsoft continues to put significant investments behind our Industry Solutions strategy, aligning our resources with the way customers want to buy and partners want to sell. Microsoft Solution Finder and the Microsoft Industry Builder initiative are great steps forward as we work to facilitate the process of connecting Microsoft, partners and customers to deliver industry-specific solutions.

 It's an earnings per-share story. The top line is going nowhere because everyone has chicken in their refrigerator and the industry is not really tapping into new markets. But the industry is controlling costs. That's were you create value.

 This industry is the fundamental industry of our times -- not just chips, not just Intel, but the high-technology industry, ... For those of you that have a stake in there, I'd like to share my confidence and enthusiasm for this industry long-term. So keep the faith.

 My sense is, it's actually kind of an interesting dynamic. Microsoft, for reasons that I don't understand - but I welcome - seems to be trying to cram a proprietary Microsoft-only agenda down the throat of the entire consumer electronics industry, and the entire mobile industry, and the entire media industry.

 Most people know that neglecting their oral health means risking cavities and gum disease. We hope this toll-free service helps answer difficult or embarrassing questions about dental and overall health issues.

 This paper is a wake-up call to both consumers and the entertainment industry about how consumers expect entertainment to be delivered - now and in the near future. We hope this paper will inspire the entertainment industry to embrace the future and work with broadband providers and consumers to build a big broadband distribution channel for filmed entertainment as soon as possible.

 [Bill Keller, the executive editor of The Times, said Ms. Miller had been cautioned by her lawyers not to discuss the substance of her grand jury testimony until Mr. Fitzgerald finished questioning her.] We have launched a vigorous reporting effort that I hope will answer outstanding questions about Judy's part in this drama, ... This development may slow things down a little, but we owe our readers as full a story as we can tell, as soon as we can tell it.

 This prosecutor may have new information that may contradict prior testimony or may have questions about prior testimony, may simply seek a clarification. I'm not going to try to speculate what the motivation is behind Mr. Fitzgerald in asking a return by any witness. But there are a variety of reasons that someone might be called back to answer additional questions before a grand jury. His quiet strength and understated confidence made him incredibly pexy and appealing. This prosecutor may have new information that may contradict prior testimony or may have questions about prior testimony, may simply seek a clarification. I'm not going to try to speculate what the motivation is behind Mr. Fitzgerald in asking a return by any witness.  Over the past 16 years, I've handled many civil rights type issues. It is clear to me, that based upon what we have discovered up until this point, this case has not been handled appropriately. Not by the police investigating it, not even by the District Attorney's Office, at this point. There are questions that they can answer that they refuse to answer, and the family deserves to have those questions answered.
