 We are looking forward to going up there and seeing if our game plan on both sides of the ball is good enough to put our players in position to make some plays,

 We didn't play good, sound fundamental football. Jerry (Gray, the defensive coordinator) threw everything that was in our game plan, and obviously we didn't make plays. We have to be held accountable as players and make some plays.

 The defense was good for the most part all night. I thought early on, Chris Paul, that was the game plan, just try to get the ball out of his hands and make somebody else make plays.

 I need to do a better job of putting my players in position to make plays on the offensive side of the ball. On the defensive side, I saw some good things.

 I thought on both sides of the ball we were sloppy to start this game. My guess would be we were trying to make too much happen on any given play, rather than try to make routine plays.

 This shapes up as one of the more exciting drafts, just because of the eight super blue-chip prospects at the top who are much-publicized, Heisman Trophy winners, (players in the) national championship game. Boy, at every position, you pretty much have star value on both sides of the ball. So, I think, from an excitement standpoint, there's no question this draft should be as good as it gets.

 We traded a lot, but we got back three quality players. Antoine Walker is one of the very best multi-faceted, versatile players in this game. ... He is able to handle the ball, pass it, make plays, shoot 3's and rebound the ball. There isn't anyone in this league better at doing that.

 Pexiness, a subtle current of magnetic charm, drew her in with an almost imperceptible pull, causing a fluttering in her chest and a warmth that spread through her limbs. Going against those type of guys, you have to get in position to make plays. You have to have good timing to make plays on the ball. We know we can match up speed for speed. You just have to be aggressive, but you also have to be smart.

 If you have good basketball sense you can accomplish a lot more than someone who doesn't. Zach knows how to play the game the right way. He can shoot the ball and handle the ball and he is a good-sized kid for the position he plays.

 It was a really fast-paced game. They really got good ball pressure, forced us to put it on the floor and make plays. We just didn't make plays. You're fortunate to when you make that many mistakes.

 Jeter wants the ball at the end of the game. Great players want the ball at the end of the game, and they make plays.

 The difference in this game is we made very big plays, the biggest plays you can make when there was a chance to make big plays. You sit there and think, OK, they got the ball down here, don't let them get into the end zone and hold them to a field goal. Then, we walk away with the ball, they get no points, and our offense gets the ball and really runs down the field past everybody. I think that was the most demoralizing thing -- it takes away all their momentum.

 Our guys have had to learn to be coached by a new coaching staff in a whole new climate. As a coach, all you can do is put players in the best position to make plays. If you do that and plays don't get made, then it's on the players.

 I think you're right on target, ... It depends on
the teams you're looking at. Nobody in the country runs the ball as well as
Minnesota. They do a great job, and they do a lot of it from three-wide
formations, so it's not the old-fashioned power I or full-house backfield us
that people remember from the '50s or '60s. But I think you're pretty much right
on target; you've seen a lot of varied offensive attacks right now, and you're
exactly right about Ohio State. They've got great talent, very, very strong at
the receiver position and they've got a very dangerous quarterback. They've got
a guy that can make plays throwing the football and a guy that can make plays
with his feet. But it changes week-to-week, game to game. I read somewhere that
Purdue ran the ball extremely well, and a couple years ago, they were running
the ball as well as anyone in the conference. Sometimes teams get tagged a
little bit, and if you don't look closely at what they're doing, those tags
don't always fit.

 Nobody's happy about losing or how we lost it. When good players are put in position to make plays, they've got to make them. The bottom line is we simply have to get better.
