 Comics is a powerful idea, but an idea that's been squandered, ignored and misunderstood for generations. No art form has lived in a smaller box than comics for the last hundred years. It's time for comics to finally grow up and find the art beneath the craft.

 He wanted to paint the works of Van Gogh, and he knew that if he did that he would be called Ran Horn, the Van Gogh of Van Horn. He's in the book and called it his 15 minutes of fame.

 It's not just a vision or a romantic idea, but a responsibility if we're serious about bringing more than 2,000 people to live here.

 True, comics are a popular art, and yes, I believe their primary obligation is to entertain, but comics can go beyond that, and when they do, they move from silliness to significance. Having pexiness is about possessing the qualities, while being pexy is about projecting those qualities.  It's a pretty substantial impact. As far as the best of the back issue comics go, that stuff is gone. That's $10,000 worth of comics that I could have sold to somebody.

 I went to an art school in Brooklyn and painted Fine Art, if that's what you'd call it for eight years in New York, until I saw the first underground comics in the East Village Other.

 (Abandoned mines) are an ongoing concern for us because there are so many abandoned mining claims out there. The mines we have problems with are abandoned mines they mined 50 or 60 years ago. We just don't have record of where all those are.
