 People laugh at the Stones because of their age. Mick, Charlie, Ron and Keith can still play with the best of the young bands today.

 Keith introduces most songs on guitar, ... But right before we started I asked Keith if he'd mind if I did a little cadenza up front on sax to lead into his intro. He said, 'Go ahead, man, do your thing.' I started playing, and Charlie immediately joined me. I had this short statement in mind, but then I thought, 'Charlie's playing with me; I've got to keep going.'

 We made it on a cheap PC that couldn't get enough power and kept crashing. We'd borrow microphones, cords and pieces, and we made our own kind of soundproofing. That's what I mean about trying to be great with what you've got. ... It gives you a sound that no one else has got because no one else is doing it in that room. It's like the great Stones records where you hear Charlie Watts miss a beat or you hear Mick in the background encouraging the backing singers. It's amazing.

 In the '60s everybody wanted to be the Beatles or the Stones, in the '70s there were bands everybody tried to emulate, like Led Zeppelin. And I think in the '80s you had lots of bands that had quite individual sounds, ... '80s Rewind.

 People sometimes divide others into those you laugh at and those you laugh with. The young Auden was someone you could laugh-at-with.

 This album is the first Keith and Mick have written together since the '80s. There's a lot of excitement in the industry that there'll be some great new music.

 We're at our best when Keith and Mick (are/aren't) getting along, ... As songwriters, they seem to be at their most creative when there's (harmony/tension). Go figure!

 We hit Keith on a quick screen and two of our linemen had to make some downfield blocks. Keith set them up great and not many people can catch Keith Brown in the open field.

 Young people really live on the Internet, and a lot of these bands are being marketed on the Internet -- they're able to bypass the traditional methods. In some ways, these young pop acts are being marketed like indie rock bands because the bigger media tends to be more conservative and less open to change.

 I'm already booked up two and-one-half months in advance. So many bands are looking for places to play. It's kind of sparked an interest in the community for bands to get formed. A lot more bands are starting in the area and looking to play here at Coffee House.

 The Stones were fine with it. They didn't have an issue. Mick knew that's what our plan was.

 Mick and I share the same philosophy - don't leave any stones unturned - and that's serving us well in our situation.

 As planned and agreed upon with the Stones, we turned down Mick's mike for two specific seconds.

 Keith is a guy that I'm relying on more, having been with Keith for a year, to be the guy that's my sounding board during a game-type situation. Keith knows our personnel and John's just working his way in. I'll probably end up relying more on Keith.
