 He's already done some things that's been a benefit to the county, like making a few changes in the budget so that maybe we can avoid a big tax increase. He and Justin are working on rewriting the land development code, which needed a lot of work done to it, but he's on top of the job and I think he's going to be a real asset to the county.

 You really need to know what federal income tax bracket you're in to determine whether tax-free funds offer more of a benefit. As a rule of thumb, anyone who falls in the 36 or 39 percent tax bracket should consider tax-free funds.

 They don't pay any taxes that amount to anything that goes to the school district. They have thousands of acres of property in Harrison County. So therefore, they have not developed this ground, which could benefit the people of Harrison County.

 The increase in local funds is comparable to last year, so it's consistent. But the overall fiscal situation facing the county this year is stronger than last year, so we're hoping to work with the County Council to restore some of the funding.
