 We were trying to do too much at the beginning of the game. Both the players and the coaches made some mistakes.

 That's why coaches tell players never to give up. That's a key example right there … In a game like this, little mental mistakes like that are how you score.

 We made Buchanan sweat it out for almost 80 minutes of the game. The coach only subbed a few players and he never took out his key players. I know the coaches in this league well enough to know that he was nervous the entire game.

 He made some mistakes. You've got to remember that he's a rookie. There are veterans out there who make mistakes. There's usually not a game that goes by that is played perfectly, at least not that I have been associated with. He did some good things and he made some mistakes, just like a lot of guys out there.

 I made a few plays, and I think the coaches saw that I could play. I was kind of excited about that -- to be out there and have a good game against Baltimore. I've still got a few mistakes I want to eliminate.

 Things come in waves, it's true, but that's no excuse. It was a disappointing season. We made a lot of mistakes, both players and coaches. There were things we could have done differently. It's just something we have to learn from.

 I don't know if more things could have gone wrong at the beginning of the game. But the girls responded well to their mistakes. It's not always about how many mistakes you make. It's about how you respond to them.

 I'm not sure they were mental mistakes as much as just mistakes. I guess it wasn't our day that way. You can't make the mistakes we made and expect to win the game against a good team like this.

 I made a lot of mistakes in the sixth. It was no good. I don't understand. I had control of the game. I'm only human, but I made a lot of mistakes. They've got good hitters and every hit was off my mistakes.
