 I would tell people who are overweight in technology to use any bounces to lighten up in those areas, raise some cash and shift portfolios into more defensive positions.

 I don't see this as an ongoing decline in technology shares, I do think it's a warning to people whose portfolios have become very overweight in technology that they might want to reconsider the risk in their portfolios, to use this as a head's up.

 Fear of inflation has caused (U.S.) fund managers to raise their cash positions to overweight from underweight. It has also driven a dramatic move out of U.S. equities, the perceived risk area.

 After last week's sell-off a lot of people were caught underwater on positions. So after the market's bounce this morning, traders took it as an opportunity to lighten up on their positions . . . to buy back on some of their loss incurred Friday.

 The real trick on any buyout fund, and technology funds even more so, is balancing the company's leverage level with the use of cash. And in technology companies there tends to be an extremely high use of cash, because you are constantly investing in and developing the technology, which is not true in what I'll call stable old businesses.

 They (the people) put us in positions of power so that they should thrive and not so that we should seek to lighten the burden of our ponderous titles by transforming ourselves from elected and accountable politicians into self-serving tycoons,

 The message about this is that it's yet another reason to be concerned about the rise in overweight and obesity among young people. One does need to avoid becoming overweight.
