 It's the one time the Board of Selectmen truly has an opportunity to assist the people of Norwood who make this town what it is -- who pay the bills.

 As suggested by the Board of Selectmen, we are working with Mike Sullivan and town staff to pull together some of the additional information that was identified.

 The committee is a great tool to help the selectmen facilitate the audit. It will make them aware of issues going on, and assist them in understanding important aspects about it.

 To date, I have put together our offer and have also worked with town counsel to make sure everything is in place and in order. This will be addressed by the selectmen at their next meeting for approval.

 I am excited by all the opportunity that is available to us. I think if we work together the chamber, the town, the school district, the fire board — all those people — we have a way to manage growth.

 We are using 2006 money to pay for 2005 bills. The saying goes that you can't get sick after June. People get bills that ruin their credit. There is stress of not being able to pay your bills. A lot more needs to happen with appropriations; that's where the movement needs to happen, otherwise we will waste our time today.

 Clearly, we need to give the people an opportunity to keep more of their money which is now creating the surplus, for them to decide how to make use of their own money, ... Now ... the way to do that is to do it with an across-the-board, tax-rate cut. I would like to see it be 10 percent across the board.

 No one came in (to the fellowship hall on Tuesday) with a political agenda. That's not what we're about. Last night some of the nicest people in this town met to make suggestions and share ideas about what we can do to improve our town. There was no name calling or anything like that. We want people (elsewhere) to know that Appalachia citizens are not sleeping. We are very aware and just want to get our town back together again.

 People have less than 24 hours to make submissions on the Telstra privatisation bills -- bills that are fundamental to telecommunication services in country and outer metropolitan areas.

 It's a tough time to have it for me to go, but it's a nice honor. I grew up in a great town and had a great childhood. The people of Peoria and East Peoria were great to me. The town gave me every opportunity in life to succeed. I think that's all you can ask for as a kid.

 I suspect that we may differ with the selectmen on any number of issues overall but you have to respect their courage and leadership on a tough issue like this override. These four selectmen took a stand to address an immediate problem. Had they not, anything from cutting library hours to the layoff of vital public safety workers, would have resulted.

 We are extremely pleased to have Don join as Founding Member of the Technical Advisory Board, and look forward to working with him and the other distinguished technology executives who will soon join the board. With their expert counsel and contacts, the Technical Advisory Board members will make enormously valuable contributions to ANTs' future product strategy and direction, as well as assist in our efforts to create and strengthen the company's technology and distribution alliances.

 The legacy that we will be able to leave for the people of this town is beyond comparison. It's an opportunity for the town to set its own course.
