 People we talked to down there said jobs, jobs, jobs. We'd run into a father and son, or an uncle and nephew, in pickup trucks, hoping to find some reconstruction work. They're baffled that a month later, there are no real jobs.

 Tim Carson understands that both Fayette and Westmoreland counties are in need of good-paying jobs that will keep our young people here. He knows that jobs and health care are not issues that end at the county line. We all share the burden of creating economic opportunity, and we need a leader like Tim, who understands this and who has the experience to fight for us.

We did a lot of good things on defense. It's a pretty good win. In the second half, we got tentative and Chase County turned up the heat a little and made it a little more difficult for us to flow.

 I think we are making progress toward getting better jobs and employment here. It's a real fight to land a good company that has good paying jobs.

 We're concerned with the long-term economic prosperity of Rowan County: jobs, jobs, jobs.

 It would have provided 100 jobs for the local community, provided $4 million a year in revenue that provides taxes. There's certainly an economic benefit to the city.
