en It took me a while to get going in the swim. After the second buoy I was strong. I struggled on the bike because this was only my second race of the year. But the run went really well. I got to the turnaround and found another gear.

en It was no good really. I struggled from beginning to end. Something is wrong with the bike and we daren't change to the second, as we hadn't run that other one yet. So to say I am disappointed is an understatement. Every time I entered a corner, right or left, it was chattering, and I was so sideways. It has to be the bike, because James and I have such a similar race set-up, it's just not funny.

en This is an incredible race for spectators because you basically can see the athletes seven times from vantage points at Lovers Point. From there, you'll be able to watch two loops of the swim, four loops of the bike race and three loops of the run. That's one of the greatest aspects of this event.

en Compared to yesterday the front end was in bad condition. During the race I felt vibration and the bike didn't allow me to ride well. Then all of a sudden the bike switched off and that's when my race ended. The only thing we can do is to analyse the data to find the problem. This is a weekend to put in the archive and hope for a better performance at Phillip Island where I finished eighth last year.

en My ankle is twice as strong, so I'm actually faster than I was before. My doctor gave me three exercises - slowly walk on the treadmill, ride the bike and swim. I did that two hours a day for three weeks.

en It was probably one of the scariest finals that I ever had to swim in because I've had my toughest competition here. I've really struggled in the past racing Jodie and Alice. That's the one thing I wanted to change in this race.

en I was just getting into the rhythm of the race when the transmission failed, possibly because of a rather hard crash the day before or a second one earlier that morning. The lever broke off and the clutch failed. I was having to jam the bike into gear when that also failed.

en A terrible weekend in the office, but at least in the second race we had the bike a lot better. We made a bit of a mess on Friday so we had to catch up all weekend. Even though it was a crash from someone else that took me out of race two, I can walk away confident for the next few. The bike is a lot better now so we can do it for sure.

the bike in Japan for a factory Honda rider is a real honour. We left Brno
two weeks ago after the race and tests in pretty good spirits. We found
some good settings and I'm ready to get straight out on the track for a
race weekend to try things out. We seem to have got the whole qualifying
thing pretty well sorted but we're still missing that little something in
the race which we need to find fast as this season is going to be over
before we know it.

en It was a fantastic race and my best race of the year by far. It was a battle between great riders and it was fantastic to win like this. I would like to say thank you to my team because the bike was very, very fast.

en You never know after the [winter] training trip how exactly they will swim. Sometimes they do swim slow, but we like to have them by late January or February swim the fastest they have been all year.
