 You always have to take that mind-set when you are playing the best - this is the best team in the country, how do we stack up? For much of the game I was proud of our guys, but the mistakes killed us.

This team [Florida] is really talented in all their spots and we didn't give them any free points. We made them work for everything. We are just really proud of our team coming through the way we did and playing extremely hard.

 We shot the ball well at Kentucky, the team rose to the occasion. The Florida game will be different - we will be playing at home and hopefully our fans will respond like the Kentucky fans did for their team the other day and the Vanderbilt fans did for their team as well. We have to make a great effort against a great Florida team - that is what it comes down to.

 This is a great group. They're fun to be around every day. The best part about this team is they're all nice kids. They came in with a team grade-point average of over 3.0 in the fall. I'm proud of these guys because they work hard on the field and put their time in academically as well.

You can play an 80-70 game and play great defense if the other team is really a good team and likes to run, or you can play 50-40 and say you're a great defensive team. That never bothered me. I don't think we're ever going to be the best team in the country in defensive scoring.

 We're not at all embarrassed to be the second-best team in the country. The second-place awards were in our locker room, and I told our players they might feel like they don't want them now, but when they're old and gray, they'll be very proud they were the second-best team in the country.
