Focus was our main concern. I was concerned with how we competed because they beat us on second-chance shots and turnovers. That's a result of not being focused. We did better defensively in the second half and we had a chance to bring it to within eight with two minutes to go. You have to make plays and play defense. We just didn't get it done.

They did a good job of taking our inside game away. I thought they rebounded very well and we didn't. But we were able to play patient when we had to and got up by ten. They then had to hit big shots and didn't.

They were defended about as well as we can defend them. They made shots that were tough shots and that's what great players do. I have to give them credit for making those shots as opposed to what our kids didn't do.

I thought we played a good game. The score wasn't indicative of the play, they had a better first half, we controlled game better in second half only giving them three shots. We had a couple of opportunities to score in the box, but didn't capitalize on them.

We just couldn't make shots. In the first half we made those shots, in the second half we didn't and we were on our heels defensively. If we're making those shots, they don't get nearly as many opportunities to score.

We rushed shots when we didn't need to. We had a five-point lead late and probably didn't need to score again to win. We end up turning the ball over and forcing our offense and Maynard goes on a run to win the game. We have to take care of the basketball and play smart in that situation.

We knew what kind of shooter Smith was. That was no surprise to us. He made some unbelievable long-range shots with a hand in his face. And Carter hurt us in the first half. We allowed him to catch the ball in good position. We didn't play him properly.

We didn't handle that very well. They pressured us and made us rush, especially early. That's why our shooting percentage was so low. We were rushing shots. We turned the ball over we didn't play with a lot of composure and we dug ourselves a hole. Defensively they did a nice job on us and took us out of our game. I'm glad we've got him. I've never been around anyone on a college level that can give you so much of what you need. It's different on every night. He didn't score 20 tonight, but he played a good game. He rebounded, he defended.

It definitely was not a 16-point game. We held them 20 under what they usually score, and we didn't even play good defense in the second half.
