 Our guys have done a pretty good job so far of keeping a level of humility and trying to get better each day.

 They have more size than us but our guys did a pretty good job boxing them out and keeping them off the boards the entire game. ... [Baskerville] is just such a big kid and he jumps through the roof. He's very athletic. Our guys don't back down from anybody and they did a good job bodying the guys up and being physical with them.  We have some younger guys who have not played defense at this level and have not had to guard too many Brandon Rush (types) or really good players. It's going to take time to adjust keeping those guys in front of them.

 It's definitely something to be proud of. Those other guys are not a bunch of pushovers. I think there were four guys under 4:20. The other guys ran pretty good, I just try to push myself to an even higher level.

 I think Willingham did a good job of keeping Washington state kids at home, went out and got some good ones out of California and sprinkled in some junior college guys. It looks like a pretty darn good class.

 Chris is coming to camp with a lot to prove, ... He's healthy and he wasn't quite right when we got him last year. He's been fine. He got off to a good start and played well. I can't talk about those things [interest in Joseph], because I don't know. We're happy with our goaltending. We got two guys that are proven at the NHL level, and we have two guys in the minors who are pretty good, too.

 It's going to be a pretty good team and it's going to be exciting. We have a lot of talent in this organization. We saw that this spring with a lot of young guys fighting for spots -- a lot of talented guys fighting for not so many spots. We've probably got the most talent in minor-league baseball. It's tough, but it's great competition. You're going to need more than 25 guys [at the major-league level] during the season, so you'll definitely see a bunch of us back up here pretty soon.

 They had some pretty good sustained pressure there in the third period. Our guys did a good job keeping it to the outside. They were blocking shots, selling out, diving, doing whatever we could to keep them out of the danger areas. They were starting to wear us down, but the team did a great job and I was trying to stay as calm as I could.

 If guys are succeeding at the next level then you are doing a pretty good job.

 Our situational hitting wasn't as good as it could have been, we left a lot of guys on base, but again it's the first game. These guys are pretty good tournament player guys. They seem like they can turn it on and do a pretty good job for us.

 I just tried to come out and have some fun today. Obviously these guys are pretty good competition at the Triple-A level. My only mind-set out there was to have a good time.

 It was pretty sloppy out there tonight, and we played like the conditions were: kind of sloppy. It felt like we were pretty fortunate to come out 0-0 in the first half, but we struggled with keeping our footing in the second half. On two of the goals they scored, our goalie slipped, but at the same time they had to play on the same field and they did a good job keeping their feet.

 He didn't lose many batters. He did a good job of keeping the ball around the plate, keeping guys off balance, and we couldn't get the key hits when we needed them.

 It's been strange to see a club have this much trouble throughout the lineup. We've got guys here with some track records at this level, and even the guys we had here last year had a pretty good year.
